On June 3, TEDxFlanders and ANTWERP. POWERED BY CREATIVES. join forces to highlight the power of design and creativity.

The event is bringing together decision-makers, business leaders and award-winning designers, while thought leaders from the creative industry will take the stage to share their insights.

Guy Van Wijmeersch

Strategic Design Catalyst & Innovation Leader
Guy is an innovation and design leader with a Master’s degree in Product Development, business administration . Currently, he leads the innovation team at Boplan, a manufacturer of safety solutions for industrial environments. His expertise combines design thinking, product and business strategy. Previously, he held senior roles at Barco, where he advised leadership on design-driven innovation. Guy has experience in guiding cross-functional teams from concept to market. He focuses on sustainable product development and business transformation. He regularly leads design workshops for executives and creative teams. His work bridges creativity, technology, and business strategy. With White Space Strategy, he is helping companies explore untapped innovation opportunities.

Nedda El-Asmar

Designer - Silversmith
Nedda El-Asmar her design philosophy centers on openness, flexibility, and diversity, enabling her to embrace unexpected commissions and opportunities. Her work balances craftsmanship, originality, tradition, innovation, functionality, and aesthetics. Known for reimagining traditional objects, Nedda has designed for prestigious brands like Hermès, Puiforcat, Eternum, Gense, Villeroy & Boch, Robbe & Berking, Obumex, Demeyere, Serax and Maison Vervloet among others. Her work has received international recognition, awards, and publications, cementing her reputation as a celebrated designer in the field. In addition, Nedda is an educator and served as course leader of the Jewellery Design, Gold & Silversmithing department for 12 years at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Since 2019 she has held the same position at PXL-MAD, School of Arts Hasselt.

Phil Blondé

Philippe Blondé hates advertising. That’s why he started working in this business. His goal was always to create advertising that makes people's day better, more fun or more interesting. During his 20 year career he has won multiple awards worldwide and started his own agency. He sold it and started focusing again on the medium he loves the most: out-of-home advertising. Because if you’re going to interrupt someone’s day, in the real world, you’d better make it worth their while.

Thomas M. Rau

Founder RAU, Turntoo, Madaster | Architect
Thomas Rau is an dutch architect, entrepreneur, innovator and acclaimed thought leader on sustainability and circular economy. His office RAU has been recognized for being at the forefront of producing innovative carbon neutral, energy positive and circular buildings as a norm. Thomas has won multiple awards for his widespread contribution in both promoting and realizing sustainable architecture and bringing awareness of the circular economy through international delivered lectures, TV documentaries, TED Talks and publications.
